Since the introduction of the Premier League in 1992, there have only been a total of 6 different Premier League winners. Manchester United have dominated the league by winning an incredible 13 Premier League trophies.

1992/93 Winners – Manchester United
Manchester United were the first ever Premier League winners in 1993 with an impressive 10 points to spare over runners-up Aston Villa. This was United’s eighth league title in their history.

1993/94 Winners – Manchester United
In the 1993/94 season, Manchester United claimed the top prize with 92 points and were crowned Premier League winners for a second year in row. Blackburn Rovers were a close second with 84 points.
1994/95 Winners – Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers claimed the Premier League title by 1 point over Manchester United in 1995. It was their first league title and qualified them for a spot in Champions League group stage for the following season.

1996/97 Winners – Manchester United
This was Manchester United’s 4th league title in 5 years, Newcastle United were runners up once again and Arsenal claimed third spot.
1997/98 Winners – Arsenal
Arsenal claimed their first Premier League title in 1998 and their eleventh league title in their history. They also became the only team to win “The Double” for the second time.

1999/00 Winners – Manchester United
Only losing 3 league games, Manchester United won their 6th league title and finished comfortable top of the pile. Arsenal finished 18 points behind them with 73 points.
2000/01 Winners – Manchester United
Manchester United 3rd league title in a row and Sir Alex Ferguson became the first manager ever to win three successive English league titles with the same club.

Arsenal prevailed as Premier League winners in a 4 horse race with 87 points. They clinched the title against Manchester United at Old trafford in the penultimate game of the season.
2002/03 Winners – Manchester United
Manchester United won their 8th league in eleven years in 2003. They defended off Arsenal to claim the title by 5 points.
2003/04 Winners – Arsenal
The year of the “Invincibles”. Arsenal dominated the league campaign and became the first ever team to go the entire season unbeaten.
2004/05 Winners – Chelsea
A new face to the winner’s list and Chelsea were crowned champions for the first time. Roman Abramovich had taking over the club and invested over £100m in players. This aided Chelsea’s title triump as they recorded a record 95 points to win the trophy.

Chelsea retained their title in 2005/06 campaign against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge with a 3-0 victory.
2006/07 Winners -Manchester United
Manchester United ended the season as league champions for a ninth time in fifteen years. Chelsea came a close second as they failed to apply the pressure in the last 3 games.
2007/08 Winners -Manchester United
United continued their dominance and claimed their tenth league title. Cristiano Ronaldo proved to a crucial player for the club as he scored 31 league goals.
2008/09 Winners -Manchester United
Another league title and another three titles in a row for Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United were ran close by a spirited Liverpool team and won the title with 90 points.

Chelsea were crowned Premier league winners for a third time and breaking the goal scoring record of 103 goals in the process. Manchester United finished in second place.
2010/11 Winners – Manchester United
This was United’s nineteenth English league title, breaking a tie with Liverpool which had stood since Manchester United won their eighteenth title in 2009.
2011/12 Winners – Manchester City
One of the greatest endings to a league season ever, Manchester city claimed their first league title and became the fifth team to the Premier League trophy. City finished level on 89 points with Manchester United, but their goal difference was eight better than their local rivals’.
