UPDATE (MAY 2016): Cynthia’s flights have been sponsored for her to go and compete in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Long Beach, California, USA!!!
Cynthia is 13 years old, of Polish roots, born and raised in Cyprus. She is a student at the English School, St Mary’s in Limassol. She speaks Greek, English and Polish and is currently studying French and Italian. She has a passion for music from a very young age. She started piano lessons when she was six years old, that was around the time when she discovered that she can sing. She is a 5th grade student in vocal at Kyriakides Music School.
At the beginning of this year, Cynthia appeared on CYBC where she was announced as the Teen Ambassador of the
ACHDAC Organization (supporting patients with congenital heart defects) for the project “Sing with your heart”.
She was chosen as a National Finalist to represent the UK on the World Championship of Performing Arts in Long Beach, USA, where she will be competing in a few categories in singing (pop, variety, original, rock and jazz).
Like a real Olympic games, all contestants need to fund their own trip and find their own sponsors to finance the trip. Part of the required funds have been collected during Art Auction Fundraiser but still Cynthia need to raise funds to buy 2 air tickets (for her and her mom who will accompany her).
She is also getting ready to sing at the International Festivals in Poland and Sicily, where she will represent Cyprus.
“I try not to plan too much as there is a lot of luck involved in today’s show business, but I certainly believe in myself and really enjoy what I’m doing.”
